The Plate is a great option for breakfast within the area. The food is fresh, well cooked, flavorful, and plated nicely, and the prices are very reasonable especially for the generous portions. It was actually our first time eating here despite them being open for I believe close to 10 years now. I love how they continue to update their specials on a weekly basis, which to me shows that the chef and the kitchen are not complacent and continue to try to keep things innovative despite being a long-established restaurant. I do think that the business would benefit greatly from a renovation or relocation to a newer building. The interior and exterior could use some TLC, and it just seems like the use of space and flow of the restaurant could be more optimal. While service was courteous and fast, the business would definitely benefit from an overall additional focus on the front-of-house customer experience and ambiance. For example, having a sign that points to the dining room asking for customers to seat themselves feels too impersonal, and again this is where the restaurant's layout and extra space works against them. The chef's team clearly takes immense pride in the presentation of their food. Extending that same focus to the restaurant's ambience and personal warmth would truly elevate them to another level. All that being said, we're looking forward to exploring more of their menu and offerings in the future!

We went here for Easter brunch. The restaurant is clean, staff is very friendly. We were greeted and seated promptly. The breakfast menu is pretty lengthy with pretty much anything you'd like to eat from French toast, to Bennie's & breakfast sandwiches. Plus for me is when a restaurant has flavored coffee which they had multiple options, hazelnut & French vanilla. I had the hazelnut, yum!! A couple of us had the banana chocolate crepe waffle. So good! The presentation was amazing and so was the taste. Crunchy Belgian waffle topped with banana, whipped cream and a chocolate filled crepe. Very filling! Others in our party got the frosted flake coated French toast, Belgian waffle & caramel apple stuffed French toast. Everyone left full & happy!

I recently went to brunch at The Plate and they blew my expectations through the roof!! Their brunch menu is simple yet amazing, offering a delightful array of options and even adding their own touch to classics. And may I add, i've never seen a breakfast spot with more cheese options (for your omelette) than The Plate. The friendly staff added a warm touch to the meal, making me feel right at home. The restaurant's charming ambiance added to the overall enjoyment of my meal! The breakfast bar is modern and gorgeous!! I'll definitely be eating up there next time I stop in. Highly recommended for a memorable brunch outing or lunch with friends!

DELICIOUS food!!! They don't add a lick of salt to these dishes so be prepared for adding some if you're like me. The Mac and cheese was fabulous and the Seitan Philly - also fabulous. They make a yum iced latte. Got mine with oat milk. The service is scattered, I can't decide if they're dedicated to a table or it's better off to go to the counter and order there. All I know is aside from dropping the food at the table, they don't check on you again. Seating is inside or outside, great location, the view though - is a parking lot and buildings. Bathrooms are very clean and gender neutral.

I really liked this restaurant. It was busy but friendly. Staff was great. They kept checking on me. A lot of bang for your buck. Not too far off of the highway. Free Wi-Fi and plenty of parking. Great for small or large groups or just a visit by yourself. They are able to customize your breakfast omelettes whatever way you need. As most of my friends know I had a weight loss surgery, which does not allow me to eat things very fast and things get cold. They were able to box my leftovers up with no problem and heat up my coffee so that I had it nice and hot for the road. Patrons were of all ages. I like it that they had a side that was set up for dining and then another side that was set up for drinking. The staff didn't rush me either. Overall great experience and would recommend it to another friend or family to visit.

I was visiting friends and family in Connecticut when my friend suggested checking out The Plate. He's vegan so the large vegan menu gave him a ton of great options while I live in the desert so any chance for me to order some New England style lobster I'm gonna jump on that. I ordered the lobster grilled cheese and this thing was not only mouth watering to look at but absolutely delicious to consume and the French fries it was served with were top notch as well, dare I say the perfect lunch? On top of having amazing food the place itself is super charming and screams Connecticut. Overall, The Plate was a fantastic place to grab some lunch and I've honestly been thinking about that lobster grilled cheese for a month now. When you mix good food with super friendly staff and a cozy environment you get a five star slap to the stomach.
